Barinder Bhalla MRICS, HI, CEA (Barry), has continuously worked in the UK property industry since 1989.
Barry has over 30 years’ experience. He started his career in property with Cornerstone Abbey National in Hounslow in 1989 (selling houses); he then moved to Harrow Valuation Office in 1994, before moving to Aitchison Raffety in St Albans in 1996, where he specialised in Medical Properties (including GP practices and health centres). In 1998, Barry moved to Euro Car Park, where he undertook several large building projects for EPC, including in Manchester, Central London, and Birmingham.
In 2000, Barry joined Cushman Wakefield as a Senior Asset Management Surveyor, specialising in mixed use portfolios. His clients included Marks and Spencer, Orchid-Isle, and Guy's and St Thomas's Charitable Foundation.
In 2004, Barry established ACREWOODS Chartered Surveyors, where he is today. His day-to-day work continues to include a variety of agency and professional work giving him one of the broadest spectrums of experience and expertise within our firm. This allows him to give wide ranging advice to clients and both identify and circumnavigate potential problems within jobs which may not be apparent to more specialised or less experienced advisors’.
Barry is focused on building Acrewoods as a multi-disciplined firm, based in West London.
Arti Bhalla BSc (Pharm), a qualified pharmacist, has worked for ACREWOODS since 2003. She is responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the company and works very closely with Barry.
Paul Baker had recently joined the firm as a property consultant. Paul has more than 30 years’ experience with commercial agency and property investments. Paul also undertakes sales, lettings and acquisitions of retail, office and industrial premises, and is also involved in landlord and tenant matters such as rent reviews and lease renewals.
Patrick Henshaw BSc (Hons) MRICS IMaPs, is a consultant Chartered Building Surveyor, with over 27 years’ experience in dealing with all aspects relating to building surveying, both for residential and commercial property. Patrick has worked closely with Barry in building projects for over 18 years.
Prof. Andrew Goodman LLB MBA PhD FCIArb FInstCPR FRSA Barrister, is a consultant mediator to the practice and its clients, with over 40 years’ experience in dealing with conflict management and has worked with Barry in property disputes for over 20 years.
Louise Kenny is an experienced consultant draughtsman, with over 25 years’ experience in preparing drawings for lease plans, extensions, planning applications and deeds. Louise has worked closely with Barry on projects, including developments for over 10 years.
